"The Mines of Hok"
At the conclusion of Venture 1.0 "Voyage to Shepherd's Star", the player characters find clues not only of an invasion by the Zuraqqor, but that the planet Hok in Ven's Star system is somehow involved in the production of the Z Virus. The player character's employer orders the PCs to travel to the Hok system to investigate the Zuraqqor connection further, neutralize the threat if possible, but most importantly relay all intelligence gathered back to headquarters.
The planet Hok is inhabited by an itelligent race known as the Hok Tu who have recently began friendly negotiations with the UPF. A few frontier systems already have ongoing contact with Hok Tu exploration and mining vessels, and modest trade relations have been ongoing over the past year or so.
The player characters may continue to use the ship they used in Venture 1.0 if it hasn't already been destroyed in the battle with the Zuraqqor. If in need of another vessel, another scout ship of similar size and ability will be provided at Dead Man's Wharf space station.
The Ven's Star system is 10 light years from Shepherd's Star, traveling further away from the Frontier sector.
